How do I plant my Sternbergia lutea bulbs?
Posted by Suttons Staff on 16 July 2013 12:11 PM
With delightful golden-yellow blooms from September to November these bulbs are sometimes referred to as being winter daffodils. Plant your Sternbergia lutea bulbs in a sunny, sheltered position and in very well drained soil. The plants will naturalise and are ideal for a rockery or anywhere they can be left undisturbed to product large clumps.

Space the bulbs 12.5cm apart and 12.5cm deep. Do get the depth right as shallow planting discourages flowering. The height will be approximately 10-15cm.
