Are the Redlove Apple trees self fertile?
Posted by Suttons Staff on 26 July 2013 10:30 AM

Neither the  Redlove Era nor the Redlove Sirena are self fertile but this is not normally a problem in the UK.  Unless you live miles from anywhere else, there are usually apple trees growing in the neighbourhood which will act as pollinators.

If you want to grow another tree within your own garden, the Era and the Sirena will cross pollinate,  or you could go for one of the other varieties we offer such as the Self Fertile Queen Cox, Braeburn or Lambourne.
