When can I bring my christmas flowering hyacinths into the light?

Once the shoots of the christmas flowering hyacinths are 2.5-5cm (1-2") in length, bring the pot into a cool room and keep in subdued light until the flower stem is well out of the bulb's neck. When the buds are above the foliage they can then be moved into brighter, warmer conditions but not in direct sunlight, and keep away from draughts and radiators.
